OLW and Chalk-A-Bration 2

Today is another Chalk-A-Bration Day organized by Betsy at Teaching Young Writers and time to reflect on my One Little Word organized by Maria at Teaching in the 21st Century.  My OLW that I am reflecting on this year is JOY.   I decided to combine the two and "chalk" a quick poem about my "joys".
My daughter, Betsy decided to join me this morning "chalking" some poetry before school.   I was quite impressed with what she came up with in such a short period of time.
Grab some chalk today and go out find a perfect spot to "chalk" a poem.  I truly enJOYed the time spent with Betsy this morning writing and reading our poems together.

  1. I have to admit I got a little misty when Betsy so JOYfully yelled, "It's Chalk-A-Bration!" Wow, I am so honored that you and your lovely daughter joined in the fun.
Betsy--you are one incredible young lady to share your writing here today. I totally understand the overwhelming buzzing, pop and tummy aches that go along with birthdays! UGH and yum all in one. Thank you so much for sharing your poem!
Barbara--you are one amazing mom to be able to so easily share a special sunny morning with your daughter, chalk, OLW (joy) and poetry all in one swoop!

Betsy - I'm so impressed with your poem! And, maybe a little jealous too! Not only did you get to start your day by chalking a poem, but you wrote a fantastic poem! Thank you for sharing it!

  3. Thanks for stopping by Robin. It was a great way to start our morning and will be something we will certainly do again.
Betsy was so excited that two people comment about her poem. So, thank you for including her in your comment.
